We wanted to confront people with the meaning and logical conclusion of the promise of endless economic growth.  There are reasons in nature, why things don’t grow indefinitely.

As things are in nature, sooner or later, so they must be in the economy. As economic growth rises, we are pushing the planet ever closer to, and beyond some very real environmental limits. With every doubling in the global economy we use the equivalent in resources of all of the previous doublings combined.

The Environmental Economics & Industrial Sustainability Society (“EEISS”) is a global environmental think tank and consultancy that puts ideas into action. We provide innovative thinking and thought provoking solutions for building a more sustainable planet.

We believe together we can make the world a better place and that it’s not why you are here that matters, it’s what you do with the time you have here that matters because heaven is here on earth – and if you believe we are wrong, what have you got to lose by being more sustainable?
